Choosing a throw for your sofa

For the back of a two or three seat sofa, a larger throw drapes well and covers the seat when you curl up under it. A smaller throw suits an armchair, a window seat or a reading corner.

For colour, pick a shade a step lighter or darker than your sofa so the throw stands out without clashing. Ecru, oat and cream warm up grey or dark fabrics; charcoal and dark grey add depth to pale linen or leather.
